Housing

Please note that many participants prefer to stay in sublet apartments or Airbnb accommodations in the city center, where they are closer to city-life and shopping than at the dorms. While the student dorms are within walking distance to the campus, they are planned for year-long undergraduate students with limited budgets and don’t always meet the standards, expectations, and needs of short-term foreign students.

If you would like to arrange your own accommodations, please note that many previous participants have recommended staying in West Jerusalem in areas like the city center or neighborhoods such as French Hill (very close to campus), Nachlaot (an older, gentrifying neighborhood ), Rachavia or the German Colony. It’s important to keep in mind that students need to arrive on campus on their own and some places are more conveniently located to the light rail or buses than others.

Housing options at Mt. Scopus*

Subject to availability, there might be three different options available to participants in study abroad programs at Hebrew U’s Rothberg International School, which are not provided by IBH*.

For more information about the Student Village please refer to the following information about Housing at RIS website

*Please note that Israel Beyond the Headlines (IBH) that organizes CME in conjunction with RIS is only responsible for organizing the study trips, meetings, and lectures of the program and it’s not responsible for the housing of participants.
